NMJD CONCLUDES TRAINING FOR FARMERS IN THE SOUTH AND EASTERN REGIONS

The Network Movement for Justice and Development (NMJD) has completed a nine days training on the Results-Based Management (RBM) for farmers in Bo, Pujehun, Kenema, Kono and Kailahun districts in the south and eastern regions of Sierra Leone. The training is the first of four trainings that will be organized for farmers and other partners within the life of the CFGB-supported project: Producing Better, Together and Forever: Improving Food Security/Sovereignty in Sierra Leone.

The training was organized for about 300 farmers, Agriculture Extension Officers, Local Animators and radio reporters of the Eastern Community Radio in Koidu, Kenema and Bo in the south and eastern regions of the country on 16-24 February 2012.

KAILAHUN MPS DONATE GENERATOR TO EASTERN COMMUNITY RADIO

The Chairman of the Caucus of Members of Parliament of Kailahun district in the eastern region of Sierra Leone, Hon. Moinina Conteh, this morning, Monday 28 February 2011, donated a 5-KVA generator to the Eastern Community Radio FM 101.9 at the Freetown offices of the Network Movement for Justice and Development (NMJD). The donation was made to the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of the radio, Mr. Abu Brima who doubles as Executive Director of NMJD, on behalf of the Parliamentary Caucus of MPs of Kailahun district.
